I am so excited to announce that I am the Canadian Society of Association Executives of British Columbia (CSAE-BC) – Association Cornerstone of Excellence (ACE) Above & Beyond award recipient for 2013!
The ACE Awards showcase outstanding achievement in the association sector by both business and executive member organizations.
The Above & Beyond award recognizes service to a member or customer that was extraordinary, surprising, caring and perhaps even entertaining and outragous. This performance of service may have been an opportunity seized to show how far a member of CSAE-BC would go to exceed expectations.
Why did I win this award? Some called it the Outrageously Impossible Assignment. My task was to merge two organizations with over 3500 members and 70 years of history into one. Imagine trying to merge different cultures, leadership styles, and board governance models!
