Crossroads Hospice Society is actively recruiting for the position of Executive Director.
Crossroads Hospice Society’s Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Society. This position will lead the major activities of the organization and represent Crossroads Hospice Society to its stakeholders and the community at large.The Executive Director will report to the Society’s Board of Directors and has authority and accountability under the Board’s direction.
In managing the Society’s operations, the Executive Director will comply with Board approved policies, professional and ethical codes of conduct, relevant legislation, constitutional and contractual requirements, and meet or exceed objectives set out by the Board. In meeting the Society’s objectives, the Executive Director will provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the Society.
To accomplish the Society’s objectives, the Executive Director will have strong team building, facilitation, and networking skills. The ability to apply creative solutions to daily organizational challenges will assist the Executive Director in meeting the multiple demands of the position.
The successful candidate will possess related post-secondary education with 3-5 years of senior leadership or management experience. Knowledge of and experience in the non-profit sector are considered important assets. The successful candidate will have a collaborative leadership style and experience managing complex relationships with multiple stakeholders.
