Job Posting – (P/T) Executive Director The BC Career Colleges Association (BCCCA) is currently looking for a part time Executive Director. This position reports to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the organization’s general administration as well as the expansion, support and service of its membership. The Core Job Duties:
- Participate with the Board of Directors in developing and operational plan to guide the organization.
- Identify, assess, and inform the Board of Directors of internal and external issues that affect the organization
- Act as the main point of contact and principal resource for all members of the Association.
- Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, provincial and local regulations.
- Help to establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with members, community groups, politicians, regulators and other organizations.
- Administer the funds of the organization according to the approved budget
- Maintain the Association website; ensure its currency and effectiveness as a communication tool.
- Conduct official correspondence on behalf of the Board as appropriate and jointly with the Board when appropriate.
- Represent the organization at community activities to enhance the organization’s community profile.
- Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s programs, services and events
The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree or diploma in business administration or related discipline is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a not-for profit or similar organization in senior administrative or leadership position.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, versatile and tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency.
- Able to grow from Part Time to Full Time as association expands.
