Position Description and Key Responsibilities
Reporting to and collaborating with the President and board of directors of the British Columbia Chiropractic Association (BCCA) the Executive Director is responsible for the organization's performance through the implementation of a strategic plan and the Association's mandate. The BCCA will look to the Executive Director for strong fiscal and strategic direction, effective governance support and robust organizational performance. The Executive Director will provide experienced leadership in strengthening association benefits, positioning the organization so that British Columbia Chiropractic Doctors are well served, in a rapidly changing health care system. The Executive Director will develop trusted relationships with members, stakeholders, affiliated associations and regulatory bodies especially the College of Chiropractors of British Columbia.
BCCA seeks a highly motivated and skilled individual with proven abilities and experience to provide support and leadership to the Association and its membership. To be successful in this position, you will need to lead with excellence, dedication and passion. While health care or related experience would be a definite asset it is not essential if the applicant's other qualities are outstanding.
The British Columbia Chiropractic Association office is located in Richmond, British Columbia.

We are pleased to announce that Darlene Shackelly, Executive Director of Native Courtworker and Counselling Association of British Columbia, has received The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. NCCABC celebrated this event by holding a congratulatory reception in Darlene's honour at their administration office, which I was proud to attend.
The Diamond Jubilee Medal pays special tribute to the Queen's 60 years on the throne and honours her life-long commitment to her responsibilities by recognizing those who have made significant contributions to Canada. The medal is a way to recognize outstanding Canadians of all ages and from all walks of life, who have contributed to society and Canada through their service and achievements.
